[Marco Escobar]

Welcome everybody to this week’s Automation Moment. For this week, we have Dash with us. Dash why don’t you introduce yourself?

[Dash Farmer]

Hey Marco. Yeah for sure, um, my name is Dash Farmer. I am a strategic healthcare account manager here at IntelePeer. Um, my previous experience I worked on a patient intake software company. I also have a degree in global health systems, bioethics, and postgrad and digital health.

[Marco Escobar]

That is a perfect tee up to talk about the subject we’re discussing today which is: when partners are working with healthcare customers, what should they be looking for and the first one that we talked about was appointment reminders. Why don’t you tell us how we can help there.

[Dash Farmer]

Absolutely. First and foremost you want to make sure that the software you’re dealing with is HIPAA compliant, which we are, and appointment confirmations and reminders really help to address a critical gap that’s in a lot of healthcare systems, which is you know, missing appointments. It creates a hole in finances, creates a hole in operations, and can really mess up the whole flow of things. You should also really look for a customizable solution because no patient based no demographic is the same depending on area/state/whatever, so having a customizable solution like ours that’s powered by AI is is a very helpful tool for your healthcare organization.

[Marco Escobar]

That’s a great starting point and the second item that I think everybody has a pain point on is payment processing. Why don’t you tell me what they should be looking for.

[Dash Farmer]

Absolutely. Um, again you definitely want a payment processing solution that is customizable because not all patient demographics are the same. Sometimes it can feel like a hassle just to pay the bill that you owe and so having a solution that allows you to do that, whether that’s through the phone with an auto attendant, through a text link is is a very helpful solution and that’s something that we have. We are also PCI Compliant, so that’s a very important thing to look for as well.

[Marco Escobar]

Those are some great tips and then the last one Dash, I know this one’s something that you’re super passionate about, why don’t you tell me about what’s important to you.

[Dash Farmer]

Yeah, absolutely. I think the biggest part of these patient communication softwares, or just healthcare softwares in general, is that they really help to streamline the patient experience and that allows for medical staff behind the desk and working with the general public and the patients to cut down on some of that admin, the busy work, to bring back a very key component of healthcare that’s been missing for a while and that is the human interaction for the patient experience.

[Marco Escobar]

Gosh, you’ve made some great points. I appreciate you joining me. Everybody I appreciate you joining us for this week’s Automation Moment. We’ll see you next time.
