The General Data Protection Regulation is a European Union privacy law that went into effect May 25, 2018. It has been years in the making and replaces the last major piece of EU privacy law from 1995: a time when Netscape Navigator was the browser to use, 3.5” floppy disks were the only way to save data, and kilobits is how speed was measured.

Technology has changed significantly as well as the role of data and data-sharing as it is used in business, so it is time for an update. Check out our guide on GDPR and key facts you need to know.
